How We Rate Vineyards

Our vineyard ratings are compiled across four criteria, each assessed by a member of our editorial team who has visited the estate and tasted the wines:

• Wine Quality (40% of overall score) — assessed across the full range, with particular attention to the estate's most ambitious wines
• Visitor Experience (25%) — tour quality, booking ease, hospitality, and value for the experience
• Setting & Beauty (20%) — the landscape, vineyard presentation, and the aesthetic quality of the estate
• Value for Money (15%) — wine quality relative to price, and the cost of visitor experiences relative to comparable estates

Our Editorial Standards

All factual claims are sourced and verifiable. Where information is uncertain, we say so. We do not publish promo codes, "exclusive" offers, or editorial content that has been approved by the producer before publication. If we are invited to visit an estate at the producer's expense, we disclose that in the review. We are not members of any wine industry trade body and receive no funding from WineGB or any producer association.
